USATF Level III Endurance School Notes
December 11-13, 1998
The attached sections are paraphrased notes from the USATF Level III Endurance School in Orlando, FL on Dec. 11-13, 1998. The school theme was Heat, Stresses and Physiological Responses but several speakers diverged substantially from the clinic theme, to the advantage of our audience. The speakers were obviously international leaders in their fields.
It must be understood that I had many pages of notes, which are distilled into relevant and brief coaching and competing axioms. Right or wrong, they are filtered through my interpretation of what is critical for athletes and coaches, and should not be taken as complete.
Many of the speakers handed out in-depth clinical studies, workout samples, and detailed presentation notes. Please contact me through any of the normal channels if I can send you any of those.
