She has personal bests of 4:54 in the mile, and 10:35 for 2 miles. She finished third in the 2000 Foot Locker finals, and 12th in 1999 as s sophomore. This is Ziegle's first national team. "I just felt good throughout the race…I thank God for the strength to help me through the race." On her current training mileage, "I'm running about 40-45 miles per week. My coach hands me the workouts and I just go and do it." Quotes: Victoria Chang, freshman at Stanford, 2nd Place "The conditions were great and I thought the course was firm and held up well. We were worried about it maybe being too muddy, but it dried up well. I could only feel the wind at the end of the 2K loops, otherwise it wasn't a factor. Laura ran great, and had just a little more. She looked great and made her move strongly so I had to let her go when she surged with about 800 to go. I was more concerned with qualifying for the World Junior Championships - my coach told me before the race all I needed was top six." **Taken from USATF Media Release.
